Col. Bill Miller passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2004 and was buried with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery. Col. Miller was a dedicated soldier who served in WWII in Korea, and three tours in Vietnam.
Col. Miller was the first senior advisor to the 5th ARVN Division located in the Command bunker. He correctly predicted the NVA would attack An Loc and not Tay Ninh. I was in contact with Col. Miller beginning in April, 2003. Through telephone conversations and e-mails I came to know the man who led the defense at the beginning of the siege of An Loc. We will miss him.
